Efficiency
Energy Saver is the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) consumer resource on saving energy and using renewable energy technologies at home.
The DOE also has links to rebate programs for efficiency upgrades.
As the grid operator for most of Texas, ERCOT works every day to make sure there is enough electricity available for consumer needs. When consumers respond to ERCOT requests to reduce energy demand during certain hours, it helps grid reliability.
