Along with the long outages that have come with this storm damage comes the temptation for some individuals to attempt to restore power on their own. This is incredibly dangerous and poses a huge risk to our line crews at work and for the safety of the general public.
TVEC crews are in constant communication with system operators with rigorous protocols to ensure that power is only restored when it is safe to do so. Attempting to circumvent this system can result in death, property damage and potential criminal liability for the perpetrator. Individuals caught jeopardizing TVEC line safety will be prosecuted.
