Just a few weeks ago, Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative was welcoming crews from other Texas electric cooperatives to assist in power restoration efforts. Now it is TVEC crews heading out to continue the tradition of co-ops helping co-ops during these major events.

Hurricane Beryl did substantial damage along the Texas coast and up through East Texas and Louisiana. Here at home, TVEC crews worked through the night to restore power to more than 4,500 members, primarily in Anderson and Henderson counties.

After getting TVEC members’ power restored overnight, fifteen TVEC lineworkers and safety personnel have volunteered to help restore power at Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative, based in San Augustine. DETEC serves a large area along the Louisiana border including parts of Panola, Nacogdoches, San Augustine, Sabine, Rusk, Shelby, Jasper and Newton counties.
